When Buckwheat Flowers Bloom

A little girl always plays on the stepping stones in the brook. A shy little boy hovers around her unable to ask her that he wishes to be alone. Suddenly, it rains and they seek shelter together, which brings them closer. However, the little boy has a secret.

One day, Yi-rang fakes a fall in a race because she was afraid of losing. After the race, she decides to never run again. Soon, Yi-rang becomes friends with Soo-min, a new student from Seoul, and starts to ask herself about her future.

When hit KBS drama I'm Sorry, I Love You aired in 2004, it recorded high TV ratings, won the acclaim of critics, and quickly became one of the flagbearers of the Korean Wave. Two years later, G&G Entertainment released a 35-minute animated version of the drama, Between of One Year, consisting of highlights from the drama and new scenes dealing with the final moments of Eun Chae and Mu Hyeok's relationship. The script was supervised by the writer of the original live-action drama, Lee Kyung Hee.
