Guard Me, My Talisman

The setting for this off-beat drama of love and jealousy is the Pushkin Poetry Festival in Boldino. Liosha and his wife Tania are walking through the plush forest around Boldino when a mysterious figure pops up from behind a tree and asks the couple a question on an esoteric point of Pushkin scholarship. From that strange beginning, the man, whose name is Klimov, starts to ease himself into the couple's private space, and trouble ensues. Complementing this story is the festival itself, enactments of Pushkin's works, and emotional debates among the festival-goers over the meaning of his poetry.

Lexo

In the music world the outstanding pianist Alexander Toradze (1952–2022) is also known as Lexo, as he was often called by his relatives, friends, and colleagues. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire in 1977. In the 1980’s, he emigrated to the USA, taught at Indiana University, and later launched his own piano studio. Toradze was a brilliant interpreter of the works of Shostakovich, Mussorgsky, Scryabin, and Stravinsky. The recordings of Prokofiev’s concertos performed by Alexander Toradze with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev are considered a gold standard. The pianist also appeared frequently with leading orchestras of Europe and the USA.

The heroes of the film are young people who, contrary to the widespread opinion about youth, renounce self-interest and selfishness in search of meanings, strive for self-restraint, to protect humanity and love - students, workers, artists, athletes, military men, environmentalists. “Life is meaningless without love” is the main thesis of the film. The heroes of the film "Nudity" are vulnerable, vulnerable, like everything young, alive, flexible, gaining strength. They are ready to break ties, overstep limits, hit the road. They make mistakes, for which they themselves pay. Each of them carries a charge of its own time.
