The Dry Valley

This story unites the destinies of the landowners and their servants, and is considered to be one of the most complete portraits of the Russian life in the late XIX century. It takes place in Dry Valley, a village owned by the noble family of Khrushevs. The story tells about Natalia, a young and naive girl who serves in their country house. We see and experience her love, dedication to her masters, mysticism, exile, betrayal and faith, while the Dry Valley is falling to pieces, slowly but inevitably, as well as the lives of its inhabitants.

The Sea

Weary of Moscow, a young photographer sets out for the Kola Peninsula in order to document the life of the local fishing communities whose inhabitants have lived in close proximity to the sea for centuries. The director portrays the wild beauty of this gradually disappearing world through a series of poetic images.

The Net

A young man arrives in a village on the White Sea. He comes in search of a girl who ran away from the city without saying goodbye. An old man from among the locals offers to show him the way. Neither the young man nor the old imagine what trials await them along the way.

New Wonder

Polina takes her first steps towards independent life, embarking on a journey into the wild taiga with her new friends. As they venture deeper into the forest, they stumble upon a settlement of mutant humans, grappling with the consequences of an ecological disaster. Monke, who has lived in the taiga since childhood, becomes Polina’s most important summer acquaintance, as well as her love and challenge.

The Reddest Fox

The film is about the adventures of a charming and cunning Fox. He helps a blacksmith in love who dreams of making the girl Amy laugh, who never laughs or smiles. For the sake of his beloved, the blacksmith is ready to kill the dragon and overcome the giant. Animals from the Magical Forest, talking flowers and trees, kind angels, elves come to his aid.

The Pomors

The Kola Peninsula. Varzuga village. A road has recently appeared here. The inhabitants of a distant village talk about how the world coming from outside affects the identity of the village. How can a village survive in the modern world without wasting what the northern land has held for centuries? The priest Mitrofan Badanin commanded ships in the Northern Fleet for most of his life, and now he is restoring the temples of the Kola Peninsula. He shared with the authors of the film reflections on the fate of the village, the characters of people, faith, strengthened by trials at sea.

Sarafan

The film tells about ancient rituals and traditions, original rituals that were used during weddings and matchmaking... The evening before the wedding in the village of Pskov region. Black-and-white photographs and stories of old women - on the one hand; living rituals, traditions that have come down to our days – on the other. The picture is dedicated to a Russian wedding, but in fact it is about a moment, about the state of a girl's expectation of happiness.
