The Malay Dagger

In Paris, Jean Bourselet, a great lover of pretty women, meets the charming Madeleine, whom men are not afraid of, and whose husband is a hotelier in Vittel. Provided with a note from his doctor, Bourselet goes off to Vittel. His wife Henriette, on her guard, joins her there and discovers that her husband is pretending to be a widower to better woo his beautiful. Henriette declares herself a widow, and flirts with a man. The lesson will bear, and after a few adventures, Bourselet is delighted to find his wife.

A businessman, Masson, who likes to party, wants to force his partner, Chabrat, a hard worker on whom the success of their fashion store depends, not to leave Paris. For this, he agrees with a young cabaret dancer, Zizi so that she pretends, for a fee, to fall in love with Chabrat who, more than anything, wants to be loved for himself. But Zizi soon finds herself in her own trap: she is “snatched”.

"Everybody is ill: you just don't know it yet". Knock, a newly arrived physician takes over a small town through fear and authority. NB : this is a different movie from the 1951 version where Louis Jouvet also plays Dr Knock.

After his engagement party with beautiful Aline, Claude, a struggling writer, meets his two closest friends. The trio sets up a daring publicity stunt, involving a fake murder. The scheme backfires as the fake victim gets really dead.
