Saki Achiga-hen: Episode of Side-A

A plainclothes detective travels back 10 years in time to prevent his girlfriend’s murder, using his future knowledge to confront police corruption and rewrite his destiny.

Shokudo Megumi is an oden restaurant run by Megumi, a popular former fortune teller who lost her powers. Now she still helps her regular customers in other ways, by advising them through their various troubles in their marriages. In this way, the customers of Shokudo Megumi will find happiness.

Jun Kanai is a lecturer at the University of Tokyo who despite being in his thirties is still a virgin. One day he reunites with an old student of his and decides that she will be the one to take his virginity but finds out that she will soon be studying abroad.

Story follows high school student Saki Miyanaga and her classmates as they become absorbed in the game of mahjong. They target an upcoming national competition.

Miyanaga Saki, a first-year student at Kiyosumi High School, lacks enthusiasm for mahjong and plays it so that it will end with neither a win nor a loss. One day, she is influenced by Haramura Nodoka’s genius mahjong tactics and decides to join the mahjong club. Nodoka is the titleholder of the national junior high school mahjong tournament. Together with Nodoka and the other club members, Saki contends for the title against formidable opponents.

After graduating high school, Hiromi moves from the coastal town of Niigata to Tokyo in the hopes of becoming a famous actress. Her dream seemingly comes true as a manager scouts her off the street. He recruits her as a model but it's actually to be a "nude" model. It's not exactly what Hiromi was looking for, but she can't turn down the opportunity. As her career dwindles, the manager coerces her to make the jump to AV and Hiromi gains a new identity as Mihiro.

The "strong" characters such as Tsugami and Kagemura, who are also popular in the original work, are expressed as if they were possessed by the actors who play them, just as in the previous work. The central character in this production, "Shizukazu Kitaoka," the No. 2 player of the Hashiro clan, is played by Hidetsugu Shibata of the comedian "Untouchable," who is one of the most famous mahjong players in the entertainment world.

Not a lot of people know that one of the most talented and ruthless Mahjong players in the city is a young high school boy. Kei is a teenager of few words, but his observation skills, unwavering will and experience in the game allows him to survive in a world full of powerful, rich and dangerous characters.
