Funeralopolis: A Suburban Portrait

A journey by car to the sea among four strangers, all under 40, all HIV positive, to discover their lives and tell with their faces and hearts uncovered what it means to have HIV today, in an age that sees it possible to live with the virus and lead normal lives but which still sees infected people victims of an enormous social stigma.

Carter, an art conservator, arrives in Italy to restore a fresco in an old church. He discovers that the strange locals are hiding something and a mystery relating to a nearby lake that legend says was created by a meteor.

For this anthology movie, producers Vestra Pictures assigned international directors with a phobia and set them to work making a horror short about it.

Pieces of Eldritch continues the anthology tradition with six Poe stories - like Morella, The Cask of Amontillado, and King Pest - presented through varied aesthetic lenses.

Four experimental short movies, based on the following Poe tales and poems, are told: “Alone”, “Song”, “The Black Cat”, “William Wilson” and “Ligeia” (which is combined with another Poe tale, “Morella”). Each sequence is introduced by the sensual and international PornStar Roberta Gemma, who also appears (as a 3D generated character) in the last segment.
