The Power of Love and the Voice

Tina Karol plays the role of a mother, the keeper of Ukrainian traditions, who tells her son a story about eternal values, the struggle between good and evil, light and darkness on Christmas Eve.

Trying to discover who now presides over the winter holidays in Ukraine, three legendary gift-givers - Saint Nicholas, Santa Claus, and the ancient Spirit of Winter - race to grant little Vira’s every wish. But Vira, embittered, demands that Christmas be wiped from existence. Instantly, carols and holiday cheer vanish from the city and from everyone’s memory, leaving only sorrow in their place. Stripped of their magic and turned into ordinary mortals, the three must join forces to avert the Armageddon unleashed by Christmas’s disappearance, and to restore Vira’s faith in miracles and hope for a bright future.

By chance, on Christmas Eve, completely different passengers with their own problems and dreams board the same train, and now they all have to arrange Christmas dinner right in the dining car. While waiting for the first star, all the passengers come together as one big Ukrainian family. And miracles begin to happen.

Yevrobachennia Natsionalnyi Vidbir (often shortened to Vidbir) has served as Ukraine's national selection for Eurovision since 2016.

The story begins with an ordinary family celebrating New Year at their house. Having seen an announcement on TV about the intergalactic song contest "Cosmovision", Masha immediately decides to take part in it. Her family supports her and goes with her and the aliens to the contest. There, the earthlings meet the stars of intergalactic show business: the legendary singer Diva, the hero Zed, the talented artist Fortiano and the cunning pop singer Baron-Star, who is planning something terrible against the "Cosmovision" participant Masha.

Anna and Ivan are trying to build a relationship, but Anna's ex-husbands interfere in their lives. Only she knows about their existence, only she can see them, and only she has the power to get rid of them. Will Anna dare to say goodbye to her past in the name of the present?
