Star of the Ballet

Engineer Stepan Mitin, having arrived in Kiev on business, accidentally gets to the performance "Ukrainian Ballet on Ice" and falls in love with the soloist Viktoriya Chaika. Delighted with the prima, Stepan doesn't notice that the draftsman Varya is working with him on the refrigerator project — the same girl to whom in the evenings he unsuccessfully tries to convey a bouquet of flowers with a note. The business trip ends — and Stepan, collecting in Primorsk, invites Varya to his plant. They agree to meet at the airport, but on the way, the ballet administrator intercepts the girl. Stepan flies away alone. One day, the Ukrainian Ballet on Ice comes to Primorsk. Stepan Mitin, the best refrigeration specialist, is asked to help create artificial ice. Stepan gladly accepts the offer and soon meets Viktoriya Chaika...

A Cossack Beyond the Danube

During the WWII, veteran Panas Petrovich Baida lost his son. Many years passed, and Panas Petrovich came to terms with his loss, hiding his grief deep in his heart. But one day, he heard news about children who had been saved by soldiers from the military. All the boys who did not remember their names were named Ivan Immortal. They are still alive today, but fate has scattered them to different corners of the country. Panas Petrovich sets out to visit each of them, hoping to recognize his son among them.

Shchors

Cheered up by the revolutionary zeal, courage and energy of their leader, Nikolai Alexandrovitch Shchors, in 1919 the peasants and workers' groups gathered in the civil war- devastated Ukraine, to defeat the foreign conquerors and enemies of the revolution. However, it does not take long until a new danger threatens: this time the Polish Pans enter Ukraine, and General Dragomirov marches to Kiev. Shchors, however, gathers the revolutionary forces of the country and brings them to a victorious counter-attack.

The rude drunken sailor Ivan Luchkin was especially attached to the boy. Once it was Maksimka who managed to save Luchkin from foreign recruiters of labor. For resourcefulness and courage, the young hero is enlisted in the team of the corvette and becomes the cabin boy of the Russian fleet.

The vessel "Zaporozhets" sails on another overseas voyage. When the ship was already in the open ocean, radio operator Lesya Gordienko received an SOS radio message from a yacht carrying the daughter of English shipowner Alice Masefield and her fiance Michael Payton. After taking away Alice's life belt, Michael plunged into the water, leaving Alice on the burning yacht. Drowning Alice is rescued by Yuri Tsymbalyuk, a cadet at the naval academy. The war is over. The Red Army soldier Pyotr tries to find himself in a peaceful life. He takes the place of an accountant, and long-time friend Nazar, who has already grown to the post of the head of a collective farm, helps him in this. Together they achieve high performance indicators of their wards, skillfully solving controversial issues and emerging from confused situations.

The Third Blow

On April 1944, Joseph Stalin orders the Red Army to liberate the Crimea from the German occupiers. The Wehrmacht's local commanders beg Hitler to allow them to retreat from the vulnerable position, but he refuses. After a fierce battle, the Soviet forces destroy the German and Romanian units defending the peninsula and retake Sevastopol.

Extra Grain

The young driver Levko hauled grain to the elevator and little by little took some of the “extra” grain for himself. Levko was convinced that it was his grain, since he had kept it safe instead of spilling it along the road like the other drivers. But his fiancée Orysia does not agree with him: this grain is not “extra” — it is stolen.
