Campo Branco

In this animation directed by Mariana Medina we follow the story of a raft driver and his family, their journeys that for a moment distance themselves at sea and on dry land, and which intertwine again in a new perspective of love and memory.

A journey, in animation format, through sensations and personal experiences with the pandemic. Made by 37 animators from Ceará, the film reveals a multiplicity of procedures, looks, styles, but also openings for the intimacy of its creators. In isolation, artists imagine and dream of other world possibilities in a flow of colors, shapes and desires.

Juatama, a peaceful city in rural Ceará (Brazil) is about to receive the prestigious title of the Historic Landmark of Humanity. The anxious city prepares itself for the arrival of the Quarto Besouro, who will come to give the final verdict in regards to whether the city has the necessary conditions to receive the coveted title.
