Fear and insecurity plague the mind of 73 year old Raavi as she finds herself trapped in her own home. While she wallows in the misery of her confinement, some scraps of memories float from a distant past and find release. The past and present fuse seamlessly and suffering acquires a new meaning.

An old crowded chawl in the heart of Pune city. Managed by a stern landlady, it houses among others, an old man who has no family and is on the verge of becoming senile. He is all alone and the people around him don’t seem to care much. Caught in a time warp, he is slowly losing touch with reality. As time stops for him, for the rest of them life goes on.

Just like his deceased father, Nihal is desperately trying to break the vicious cycle of debt and hang on to his small parcel of farmland. Nihal’s refusal to accept the futility of the fight is putting a strain on his recent marriage and testing the patience of his wife, Reet.
