Mitsuko and the Space Bump

21st Century Girl is an omnibus feature that is of the girls, by the girls and for the girls. The work of 15 women directors under the age of 30, each of whom contributed an 8-minute film, the package highlights a range of genres, visions and thematic concerns.

Ryota's only joy when she started working as a web writer was "Instant Ramen Array Jinbu", a side activity that was continued with six people including her friends Arisa, Kyoichi, Sho, Meirin, and her younger sister Aoi since school days. The members devise an emotional instant ramen arrangement recipe in rotation for a week, and upload a video on social media to share it. Recipes with different tastes, made by members, give new discoveries and surprises every time, adding one method to a familiar taste to make it a light and colorful dish. So, whose turn is it today?

The film consists of five films about Yamato in the post-COVID period. Tominaga's "The Fourth Eye" depicts a bewildered father who is introduced to his stepfather by his estranged daughter; Kiyohara's "The Light of March" tells the story of a woman who becomes pregnant at a young age and tries to flee the town. Takeuchi's "Makie no Bouken" (Makie's Adventure), Yamamoto's "Ano Hi, Kono Hi, Sono Hi" (Ano Hi, Kono Hi, Sono Hi), about a city employee who goes around taking video letters for people who are retiring, and Miyazaki's "Eri-chan to Kumi-chan no Long, Mundane Day" (Eri-chan to Kumi-chan no Long, Mundane Day), about two people who have too much time on their hands to bury a time capsule in a forest on the outskirts of town.

High school track star Michiru and too-serious track captain Nitta grow closer as they search for meaning amidst the pressures of their lives. Two girls on the track team. They couldn't be more different as they deal with the problems of high school together.
