Yeong-il is a middle-aged man who lives alone and works at a mechanical factory. A young girl named Bo-ra enters his boring and tedious life. This movie concentrates heavily on the characters and society with just a simple narrative.

After losing her son while defecting from North Korea, Myung-sun meets a fellow defector, Sin-tek, who is the leader of the Church of the Fire. Through him, Myung-sun begins to learn about the doctrines of resurrection as they settle at a small town in South Korea.

Yuha, who had struggled to reach the entrance of the tunnel while pregnant, turned away dejectedly upon seeing the warning sign at the entrance indicating no more altitude.
