The Name

The movie is made up of three parts. Cursing: A year has passed since Mari's (Mayu Hotta) mother died. She still misses her mom very much and feels loneliness without her. Soyoko is a 19-year-old girl with ADHD who clings on to dreams of studying at an art school while juggling a part-time job and caring for her disabled father. As overburdened caregivers quit around her and with no relatives to help, Soyoko desperately applies for welfare but a callous caseworker makes increasingly awful demands for funds leading a vulnerable and isolated Soyoko into a terrible situation.

Three Star Bar is a small bar in the Nishi Ogikubo area of Tokyo, Japan. Three men work at the bar. They are the handsome bartender Amamiya, quiet cook Nakauchi and bar owner Kobayashi. People who have worries about various things in their lives visit the bar as customers. These three men also seem to have something from their past.

Kazuho Anamori, ​​who had difficulty fitting in with her class, meets Miko Karakida, who suffers from heart disease, and becomes close friends with her, however, six months later, Miko dies while hospitalized. Kazuho receives a letter saying that there is something to discuss about Miko. Tomohiro takes his fiance Machiko to his hometown of Aridagawa in Wakayama Prefecture to see his family.Tomohiro’s family includes three siblings. His younger brother Takeshi refuses to go to school. His older sister Yumi isn't interested in their family. Younger sister Sayaka has an inferiority complex and has a fear of dating. There's also Satomi who everybody calls Mama and she does all of the housework. Kayoko is called Kaka and she works as a snack bar manager. Narumi is called Haha and she is a high school teacher. Finally, there's their father Shoichiro better known as Chichi. It's an unusual family, but able to exist in harmony. Due to Machiko's appearance, the family becomes shaken.
