Czechoslovak comedy film directed by Ladislav Smoljak, about the fictional national hero Jára Cimrman (universal genius, inventor, sportsman, criminalist, poet, writer and philosopher).

The story of old Hana, who devoted her entire life to gardens. She designed them, planted them, cared for them, lived for them. Now she is old, sick, has difficulty moving, and feels that her life has shrunk and is coming to an end. However, Hana is not a whiny poor thing; she is a realistic woman with a sense of ironic humor who can still tease even her very grown-up son. She sees quite clearly that nothing new will happen in her life. The opposite is true. A young girl in worn-out sneakers enters Hana's life.

The movie is a satirical look at foreign occupation - a medieval Czech jester entertains a German king and his French wife, or a modern Czech villager helps a Bavarian hunter and his French wife find wild boar in Bohemia - the story switches back and forth between the two plots and time-periods.

A young and sympathetic teacher joins the music school. He leads the school orchestra and also teaches twelve-year-old Anezka to play the cello. The girl falls in love with him and only her grandmother, who lives alone and does not get along with Anezka's mother, her daughter-in-law, has any sympathy for her. But even she can't help Anezka overcome her first emotional turmoil, so the girl uses a little trickery to get closer to her teacher...

The protagonist is the ordinary and still blameless Evžen Macík, who one day, while waiting for his lover Maria, witnesses a robbery of a savings bank. When the robber drops a briefcase with half a million in loot, the loot falls in front of Evžen, who can't resist, picks it up and disappears. He knows that someone might have seen him at the scene of the crime, so he turns himself in as a witness to Captain Richter, who is investigating the case. Shortly thereafter, however, Maciek is contacted by the robber, who begins to force him to hand over the money with constant threats, initially only by telephone. In addition to pressure from the robber, pressure from the police is added because Captain Richter correctly suspects that Macík is hiding something from him. The mounting pressure leads to Eugene starting to make mistakes.

The lead character is a young woman who becomes close with a colleague of her husband. She finds herself at an important crossroad in life and considers whether to take a decisive step.

She prefers to let everyone think that Lumír ran away before the wedding and that she keeps the donkey as a pet...

People, especially when they are still young and inexperienced, sometimes break up and get together too quickly, and the consequences may only become apparent many years later. In this particular case, they came to light when Gábina and Petr decided to get married. Everything would have been fine if Petr's father and Gábina's mother hadn't realized during their introduction that they had actually known each other for a long time and, worse still, that their children were siblings who had been well hidden until then. The mistake had been made, and now what? How to separate the young couple without arousing their suspicions, and especially those of the rest of the family? Yes, a diabolical plan must be devised...
