Documentary shows what social connections actually are and what role social media plays in this. She portrays four influencers who are all at different points in their social media careers at the beginning of the film: Tasha Kimberly, Emilia Horn and Heiko and Roman Lochmann, formerly of "Die Lochis". They are all driven away from the platforms for different reasons. Using their example, the film explores the clichés of Generation Z and attempts to understand social media as a pop-cultural tool.

The film portrays the four young politicians Laura Isabelle Marisken, Aminata Touré, Gyde Jensen and Terry Reintke, who will help shape the future of Germany and the EU in the years to come. He moves back and forth between the different protagonists, draws fine lines between Brussels, Usedom, Kiel and Berlin and delivers a wide range of universal and big themes, packed in personal and intimate moments with the four strong and very different women, and shows how women’s politics works today, enthusiastic and engaged.

Director Carolin Genreith takes a warmly ironic look at her mother and her female friends but also addresses her own fears and vanities. A vibrant portrait which looks beyond the borders of one twentysomething’s coolly urban lifestyle in Berlin to examine the travails of menopause – as well as the art of banishing one’s fear of ageing with a well-placed hip thrust.

What do we need to live a happy life? Follow Ronja von Rönne, author and self-proclaimed sceptic, as she explores this age-old question by meeting people with fascinating or surprising answers. A unique insight into the different mindsets and strategies that people employ to find happiness.

Between provincial life in Darmstadt, self-discovery, family issues and pressure to perform, Heiko and Roman try to establish themselves as serious artists with the band HE/RO – and in doing so, find out who they really are when no one is screaming for them anymore.
