An English teacher brings soccer to a German school in the 19th Century.

New York lawyer Alicia Charles faces a challenge: to help penniless globetrotter Will in a custody battle over his godchild Linus. The nine-year-old Linus lost his parents in a car accident. Will wants custody of his godchild, although as a poor globetrotter he has little chance. He is not even related to the boy. He cannot present more than a snippet from a family video that identifies him as a godfather.

Marie is dyslexic and cleans for the wealthy von Schermann family. Her mother Greta, who suffers from dementia, has just scared off her carer and her son Niklas has to travel with his wife. Marie decides to help out for a few days. While the two women get to know each other and explore Greta's past together, Marie's husband, police officer Dirk, sulks. But businessman Niklas has also made a mess of things. When his wife leaves him, he discovers Marie's charms.

Marie Franklin has erased all memories of her past. She wants nothing and no one to remind her of the great loss she suffered a few years ago. However, she refuses to accept that she is not only harming herself, but also her son Thomas. Marie's headstrong neighbor, Judge Wilbert Scony, doesn't like the situation at all. Compassion must have its limits, grief must come to an end. But Wilbert seems to be alone in this opinion. It is only when Thomas gets into serious trouble and is in danger of losing not only his scholarship but also his freedom that Marie begins to wake up. Like a lioness, she fights to make up for her son's mistake and avert worse.

In her desperate longing for sympathy and understanding, a single mother tries to get back in touch with her grown-up son, who locked himself up in his room since two years. She doesn't sense that she runs the risk of loosing him forever.

A poor peasant woman lives in a cabin in the woods. She grows two rose-trees in front of her house, one with white roses and one with red. When the flowers bloomed she had two children, both girls. She named them both after the trees, Snow White and Rose Red respectively. They have an adventure involving a bad dwarf and a bewitched bear.
