Fani, the daughter of businessman Renieris, is in love with Nikos and tries in vain to bring him back to the straight and narrow. One day, Nikos kills the gang leader, Leonidas, because the latter had called him a bastard. He is then arrested and brought to trial, to be judged by his own father, who is the prosecutor.
