Far from Moscow

Immediately after their wedding, a young family of archaeologists comes to Central Asia for excavations. The plague epidemic that broke out there separates the newlyweds for a while and forces the girl's mother to turn to her ex-husband for help.

The film is about the struggle of Czechoslovak patriots against the Nazi invaders during the years of fascist occupation. The plot of the film is based on actual events that were reported after that time.

1919, Russian Civil War. Siberia was united under the rule of the White Guard General Kolchak. Unwilling to recognize his power, 32 common villages from the Yenisei province declare themselves the independent Soviet Badja Republic. He was wounded, taken prisoner, escaped, and returned to training battles, with June 1941 looming ahead.
