Belonging to a family that has a grandfather addicted to alcohol, Mohan Khanna (Raj Kapoor) too is addicted to alcohol, compounded by the fact that he is enamoured with a woman, Miss Reeta (Nishi), who is using him to extort money and vengeance from his Judge father, Kundan Lal Khanna. The only person who is really interested in the welfare of Mohan, in a practical way, is an aged and recently hired servant of the family, who has just been released from prison for killing two people.

A young lad, separated at a young age from his parents takes on the life of petty crime and ends up in jail. On his release he comes across a friend in a train, and at the friend's request sets upon to trace his two daughters; he meets them and falls in love with one of them. But the police are on his trail due to a stolen necklace belonging to none other than his birth mother.

A couple's marriage begins troubling after the doctor carries an extramarital affair with a dancing girl.

Ravi, a fireman, falls in love with Roopa, a simple village girl. The couple is happy in their new relationship until Jagirdar, who also loves Roopa, tries to separate them.

The story revolves around Rita. She is a beautiful girl who lost her memory due to an uncertain incident. Trouble arises when two persons named Vijay And Ramesh claim to be her husband. She, along with her dog, investigates.

When Bindu's brother is murdered by a night club owner, she decides to take things in her own hands to avenge his death. The film offers a rare window into how and whether she will succeed when she is dealing with an omnipotent villain.
