Little Tito and the Aliens

In 17th-century Italy, a teenager learns about her destiny among a family of witches, just as her boyfriend's father hunts her down for witchcraft.

Frank, a school dropout, meets Nina, a teenage wife and mom seeking education. As they study together, their bond grows, redefining family and reality itself in their eyes.

Alfonso is a Neapolitan scientist, shy, awkward and unemployed. Gayan is a former Sri Lankan cricket champion who is penniless, just arrived in Naples and convinced he will find Paradise. Vincenzo is a rising politician thanks also to recommendations, but things do not go as he would have hoped. In a multi-ethnic Naples, the destinies of these three characters intertwine, who find themselves sharing a shack built illegally on the roof of a building. This paradoxical situation will give rise to a hilarious cohabitation between the three and a partnership that will make them find the courage to face their own destiny, changing it forever.

18th century. Paola, a young, reckless street urchin inadvertently gets in the way of the plans of terrifying Baron De Michelis, a small and mean hunchback always escorted by his trusted (and abused) minion Marmotta, with an unquenchable thirst for power and an unmeasurable hate for witches. The intervention of the sweet and powerful Dolores, a good witch who has devoted her life to children, saves Paola from being burned at the stake. Through a magical apprenticeship, breakneck pursuits, incredible transformations and a whole lot of trouble, Paola will discover that fate has something really special in store for her… And so the legend begins.

Nina is 13 years old and has an incredibly messy family. She finds herself catapulted from the center of Rome in a suburban neighborhood: grey high-rises, boys on scooters and a funny grandmother who spends all of her time gambling on cards. A sudden encounter upsets everything, like a storm: she is 13 years old, lives in the opposite building, and dances the Lambada. Her name is Sirley, she comes from French Guiana and has an ambitious dream: to interpret the Madonna in the neighborhood procession. Between the two an intense, very strong bond is created. Their friendship will lead Nina to finally lose control, and to discover her place not only in the world, but in the heart of her family.

The Istituto Luce turned ninety in 2014, its decades-long history intertwined with that of Italy itself, through cinema and that unique treasure trove of images known to all as the Luce Archives. To celebrate its anniversary, some of the most acclaimed rising filmmakers in Italy were invited to make a small film, with each director selecting ten minutes of footage from the archives, out of the thousands of hours of footage to be found there. The result is an album full of different narratives.

It follows the tragic life of Giulia Cecchettin, starting from the private pain of her father, Gino Cecchettin, and culminating in a cinematic story that stems from the book of the victim's father, entitled Dear Giulia.
