By coincidence, a couple who have just fallen in love are targeted by the Russian mafia, who have made a deal with a shady Berlin businessman and a corrupt politician. When the young woman is kidnapped, her boyfriend sets off on a dangerous search for her.

Alpha Alpha was a 1972 German science fiction fantasy television series which aired on ZDF. It starred Karl Michael Vogler, Lilith Ungerer, Arthur Brauss and Horst Sachtleben. Each episode was only 25 minutes long, the series lasted only one season. Karl Michael Vogler played agent alpha of an unnamed secret organization, investigating mysteries, technical and psychic phenomena and even alien encounters. Alpha Alpha's tenor is comparable to the later X-Files drama television series.

Is a home for the blind hiding a murderer's nest? Shortly before his myste-rious death, millionaire Stuart changed his will and disinherited the local home for the blind. Inspector Higgins suspects that something is not right there.

After a long time, a circus is back in the area of Tidal Basin and already the strange phantom has reappeared: the white clown! He robbed banks and stores without a system and disappeared without a trace. Lane and Higgins, together with the worn-out journalist Shapiro, hunt for the mysterious culprit in the dense London fog.

Lord Paddington, an honorable member of society, is blown up with a small tennis ball. "Die vier Gerechten" are not of this opinion, however: "Sentenced to death and executed for countless crimes" they leave at the scene. More honorable personalities are being assassinated, while Higgins is still in the dark.

Strange, rhymed advertisements in the newspaper unsettle three London gangsters - and rightly so, because soon the first of them are killed. The mysterious killer also catches a shady lawyer. Higgins and Lane find out that the key to the crimes is an unsolved diamond heist.

A madman wearing a hood escapes from the Wondermore asylum. Shortly thereafter, Sir Douglas, who owns the estate, falls into a coma. This is certainly no coincidence, especially since the line of heirs is dwindling. Scotland Yard Chief John sends Inspector Higgins and Nelson to solve the case…
