The Mighty One

Badrowi disturbs a married woman he's in love with on her wedding night and kills her husband. He's then severely beaten by villagers and his body is thrown into a ravine. There, he gains supernatural powers from a spider and then starts terrorizing the village.

He survives and then they bury him in the sand. After awhile, he has no other option than to become the disciple of the evil Galunggung Genie. He's promptly possessed by the genie, who then goes to the village and gets revenge.

During a birthday party of Mrs. Lies, Hetty sings a song that was composed specially by Syachrin for his wife, and this helps them to meet. The film uses songs, top singers, and a touching story, to repeat the successful formula that started with the film Terang Boelan. The singers Elvy Sukaesih, Lies Saodah, and Mansjur are popular Dangdut singers of the time, while Hetty Koes Endang was a rising pop singer. The appearance of the comedy Surya Group was designed as an added attraction, though it becomes more of a distraction.

A naive village girl, Ani (Ayu Azhari), takes a job in a karaoke club in the city after meeting Susana (Yurike Prastica). Actually, Ani’s main reason for taking the job in the city is the hope that she will somehow meet up with Rudy (James Sahertian), a childhood friend. At the karaoke club, Ani attracts unwanted affections from the owner, Robert (Torro Margens). Ani escapes this dilemma when she does, finally, find Rudy. Together, they set up a small business selling ready-made clothes. Robert refuses to give up. He sends some men to beat up Rudy, and even assigns Susana to try to break up Rudy and Ani. Susana is successful. Ani then goes to work with Prasetyo (Willy Dozan), whom she met when she was in the garment business. The relationship between Ani and Prasetyo becomes serious, and they marry. However, Rudy, who is living with Susana, attempts to blackmail Ani with his knowledge of her past involvement with the karaoke club.

Babe Cabiita, a radio broadcaster in Medan, has a lot of fans. But Well, honey, working on a small radio so it is not growing. Fatiya, Babe's girlfriend, suggested Babe stop working on the radio and become a regular employee in his uncle's office.Despite his heavy heart, Babe follows Fatiya's advice to undergo an interview at Fatiya's uncle's office. Andre (Hudi Prayogo), who is rescued from the ocean by the family of Henry (Turino Djunaidy), falls in love with Henry’s daughter Cynthia (Kiki Fatmala). However, Cynthia’s brother, Daniel (Deddy Rizaldy), dislikes Andre, who suffers from amnesia, intensely. Ten years pass, and Andre still hasn’t gotten his memory back. After Henry dies, Daniel wastes a lot of money on partying and gambling, while Andre and Cynthia become increasingly serious about each other.

Kabayan undergoes a long journey to get his soul mate, Nyi Iteung, since Abah, the latter’s father, does not agree to have a son-in-law from the village. Kabayan has to go to the city to find his luck, assisted by his friend, Joni Kemod and his master, Nora Nori. Now, Kabayan, as a city person, is coming home to propose to Nyi Iteung. The film ends with Abah's acceptance of Kabayan for what he is.
