Investigative journalist, Nick McKenzie, gets a tip that something bad is going down at a brothel in South Melbourne. It’s a story he knows all too well - Nick reported extensively on sex trafficking of Asian women to Australia a decade ago, blowing open the issue to global audiences. Undercover surveillance suggests that the same notorious players might be back to their old tricks. This raw, gritty observational documentary follows Nick deep into the murky world of brothels, motels, and massage parlours as he attempts to confront the trafficking bosses, hear the stories of survivors, and ultimately compels the government to act on an underreported/ignored crime that is rife on Australia’s shores.

In 2008, feature documentary, The Oasis, shocked Australia with its gritty insight into the lives of homeless teens at a notorious youth refuge in inner city Sydney. An outpouring of social and political goodwill followed, with the then Prime Minister pledging to halve homelessness by 2020. A decade later, with social inequality and homelessness worse than ever, the original participants reflect on where their lives have taken them.

THE PINK HOUSE tells the story of Kalgoorlie's last original goldrush brothel through the eyes of the colourful Madam Carmel, 70, and her longest-serving lady of the night, BJ. Filmed over several years and with unprecedented access to the inner workings of this unique brothel, THE PINK HOUSE is an intimate portrait of two women bound together by the past and their precarious future. And when darker forces begin to exert pressure, their fragile relationship is tested to its limits.

THE DEPARTMENT is a feature documentary which takes us inside the never-before-seen child protection system at work in NSW. Filmed in an observational style, it follows caseworkers across the state as they navigate the complexities of keeping children safe in families experiencing domestic violence, addiction, poverty, mental health issues and intergenerational trauma.
