Thursday Night

Mysterious tremors waken a sole survivor in a bleak and barren place. A real spider stars in this haunting sci-fi from Fantastic Fest alum, Gonçalo Almeida.

Sílvia rents a house for the weekend in the south of Portugal with the intention of meeting her secret lover, Clara. Between tanning sessions and swims in the pool, this perfect couples weekend begins to take a turn due to a mysterious evil. Strange events that occur in the house will change their relationship and personal lives forever.

A man relives a treasured episode from his youth in this phantasmagoric rumination on the construction and aestheticization of memories.

The saying “If walls could talk…” takes on a whole other dimension in Gonçalo Almeida’s astute, mood-driven study of a hotel housekeeper slowly succumbing to the building’s sinister rhythms, punctuated by an unnerving, precisely calibrated score.
