The movie is made up of three parts. Cursing: A year has passed since Mari's (Mayu Hotta) mother died. She still misses her mom very much and feels loneliness without her. Her father decides to marry Asami Kamijo (Ayaka Komatsu) and he brings her to their house. Mysterious events take place. Waltz: A filming team goes to an abandoned mountain home to film a mockumentary. The director purposely avoided giving out a screenplay. The director tells his team that a tragedy will happen. A tragedy then occurs that the director did not expect. Ordinary Everyday: A teacher visits the home of his student who broke his arm. Secrets are revealed of the two-faced family there

The story is about the daily life of a 30-year-old new wife, Hana, who cooks “Zubora Meshi”, while her husband is on a job transfer away from home. ”Zubora-Meshi” is the corner-cutting and easy cooking people usually cook only for themselves to eat.

In bustling Shibya, Momose sees his high school classmate Yashiro. Yashiro is dressed as a girl. Momose continues to observe Yashiro and becomes attracted to him. Meanwhile, Yashiro becomes embarrassed that Momose knows that he dresses up like a girl.

They were formed by detective Kazuki to trick swindlers and take back what was stolen from the deceived, the tricked and the downtrodden. At the same Saki is in an all-girl band. When a screenwriter named KAORU dies suddenly, she leaves behind a tangle of relations who are all pulled together for the final act in her life: performing her funeral. The chief mourner is her ex-husband, Jun. A failed actor, he drifts around Tokyo as a driver for callgirls. He has to clean himself up to lead the ceremony down in the small village in Okayama that KAORU came from. There, he meets a host of eccentric characters, TV people, and KAORU ’s daughter, all of whom have complicated feelings for the recently departed. As can be guessed, the funeral becomes chaotic as people quarrel and fight but the fact that KAORU was loved is not in doubt as nostalgia, bitterness, and affection for the woman come out from each mourner in comic confrontations.

There was a time when Japan’s housing projects, or “danchi,” were the dream homes of the masses. They produced a culture of residency unique to Japan, but today, these towers and their residents have aged. It is human nature to wish to deny the present and idealize the past the more one grows older. The man dedicates what life he has left to restoring the past, and chases after his ideal family and danchi. However, like a river, time can never go backwards. Aiming to bring back the danchi of the past for the sake of his granddaughter's future, the man's passion for his contradictory ideal gradually descends into madness.
