Letter to God

Follows the birth of a political and social movement from the inside, with Péter Magyar as its face. For more than a year, the filmmakers accompanied him on country tours, campaign sites, and background conversations, as well as being present in those quiet, intimate moments – many times in his own home – that have remained hidden from the public until now.

Nina loves to make up stories, she wants to become a writer. Though she has her creative talent from her filmmaker father, there’s just one problem: Her clumsy magician brother Junior is bored of her stories. And since her mother died early, it’s difficult for Nina when a new love comes into her dad’s life. With the guidance of a bohemian writer next door, Nina uses writing to process the loss of her mother and open her heart to a new family member and first love. And suddenly, Nina realizes, her life is becoming a novel!

Hilda is forced to follow helplessly the tragic death of her mountaineer husband Zsolt Eröss. As the heir of the deceased Hilda tries to cope with public expectations with her husband's attitude. It takes time for her to admit, that she needs help in dealing with the tragedy.

The story of the film unfolds in one night. A chance meeting of a young boy and an old woman on Christmas night. From behind the dark clouds of their life full of secrets, the Sun breaks out unexpectedly for them too: the Christmas Eve, which starts out as hopeless, brings a child to the boy and a mother to the woman.

After a deadly border crossing separates him from his mother, a young boy is left alone in the desert. He clings to a damaged phone and carries with him the words she taught him to live by: never give up.
