Little Dramas

A story of a young schoolboy who, with his classmates, has pledged to defend his country. In September of 1939 he goes to war on his own in the spirit of cadets during the insurrection of 1831. He is trying to protect his classmate, a 12-year old girl, in search of her mother during the war confusion.

Ania, a few years old girl, starts attending to a new kindergarten. The film shows the difficult moments of a little girl's adaptation to a new environment, and the impact of the institution's educational methods on assimilation with her peers.

Encouraged by the offers of a prestigious position in the city, the teacher is unconvinced and decides to return to his native village, where before the war he taught at the local school.

Twelve year-old Edek falls under the spell of a girl named Monika while vacationing at his aunt's house. Getting increasingly infatuated with her, Edek does not know that Monika is not all she seems to be.

The film consists of two parts. In the first, the protagonist is Matilda. Her dream is fashionable stockings, which she cannot afford. She becomes the laughing stock of the school when she appears in stockings sewn by her grandmother. The humiliation leads Matilda to take a dramatic step. The second part tells the story of Jadźka, who is an object of derision at her school. Fearing embarrassment, she increasingly misses school and plunges into a world of autistic dreams.

Twelve-year-old Tomek helps his father working at a gas station. His dream is to own one of the cars that he and his father service every day. Tomek is also in love with Mariola, a girl from Warsaw. She, in turn, has feelings for Wojtek.

While hiding from the Germans in the forest, young Polish corporal tries hard to fulfill his order to take care of a wounded lieutenant and wait for the doctor and transportation to come.

Young Małgorzata leads a very boring life as a cashier. One day a robber riddles her bank car with bullets, kills the driver and two security guards and takes the money. The police finds out that the stolen banknotes are being spent at a fashionable spa resort. The only way to find the criminal is to favor Małgorzata with a seaside holiday in the company of a handsome Captain as her brother.

Romek is a boy whom nobody wants and who cannot find love in anyone. His mother has no interest in him at all. The boy gets under the influence of enterprising Janusz. This one teaches him to steal. During the first attempt, he is caught and puts in a juvenile court. The mother decides to take the opportunity to put him in an orphanage.

The movie consists of two satirical novels based on the same idea: both the "gangsters" and "philanthropists" end up in the courtroom.

In an idyllic working class community, 13 year old Anka grows up, going through stages of adolescence, dreaming, first love and gossiping with girlfriends. Roughly disturbed by the shame and disgrace of alcoholism - leaves unwashable stains upon the community, that tries to cope with abuse and depression, and the system (including school teachers) who try to avoid the subject. This story was aimed at parents, to give them morally an insight into what happens when a young girl has to deal with the disgrace of an alcoholic father and a mentally instable mother.
