Once Upon a Time

Brave Pak

Based on Korean folk tales. Every year a terrible Dragon flies over the distant mountains and burns fields of the industrious farmer Pak. The peasant is convinced that it is possible to overcome the Dragon only with courage and strength. Overcoming numerous obstacles, Pak pulls out a magic sword and, after reaching the lair of the Dragon, summons him to battle.

Cipollino

In a world inhabited by anthropomorphic produce, "Cipollino, the Onion Boy" fights the unjust treatment of his fellow vegetable townsfolk by the fruit royalty (Prince Lemon and the overly proud Lord Tomato) in the garden kingdom.

The Scarlet Flower

Before going on an overseas journey, a merchant father asks his three daughters what they would like him to bring back for them. The eldest asks for a shining tiara, the middle asks for a frame through which her face would always appear young, and the youngest (Nastenka) asks her father to bring her a beautiful scarlet flower like one which she saw in her dreams. Her elder sisters laugh at this simple wish. The father's trip is successful and he finds everything that he came for, with the exception of Nastenka's scarlet flower. Nevertheless, the ship heaves off and they begin to head back while the father scans the lands around him for a scarlet flower.

A Hot Stone

A boy finds a magic stone that will allow people to live their lives over again. His bearded, noble Grandfather prefers his life of hardship, revolution and Communist victory to remain just as it is.

Shareholders

Soviet propaganda cartoon depicting the evils of American capitalism. A worker who owns a small share in a big company is living large, until his company replaces its workers with robots and its small shares become worthless. The shareholder finds himself alone in a cruel world.

Golden Feather

The sorceress decides to teach the princess a lesson, who played an evil joke on her. Cartoon based on an Italian fairy tale.
