It follows the story of Lee Dae Gil, a man of high birth, whose family was ruined when Won Gi Yun, a slave, burnt down his house and escaped with his sister, Un Nyeon, who was in love with Dae Gil. Driven by his desire for revenge, he survived his harsh years on the street and made his name as a slave hunter, dedicated to his pursuit to find Un Nyun, his first and only love. Song Tae Ha is a General of the Army who became a slave after being falsely accused of a crime he did not commit and finds himself on the run from Dae Gil's relentless pursuit. Both men become entangled in a love triangle with Un Nyepn, who is no longer a runaway slave, but Kim Hye Won, a nobleman's daughter.

"Short! Short! Short! 2009" is an anthology film commissioned by the Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The film consists of 10 short films centered around the theme of "Money," made by 10 up & coming directors in South Korea.

Youngwu and Jiyoung have been married for ten years and have long since grown apart. He, a publisher, is having an affair with a writer and she, a housewife, feels drawn to a gentle young Muslim she meets named Kerim. When he is obliged to leave the country she decides to follow him to Varanasi. Leaving her husband a note saying that she is away visiting relatives, she spends her time wandering along the banks of the Ganges and down the busy streets of this Hindu city in search of Kerim. When he turns on the television her husband is astonished to see his wife covered in ashes, emerging from a restaurant that has been bombed by terrorists. Youngwo decides to head for India to find his wife and obtain an explanation for her behaviour.

Hyuk soon receives a mysterious email from an anonymous sender urging him to join this illicit club. Neither Hyuk nor Kyung knows what is in store for them.

Just when So-Ri is about to break down, a stranger enters her life. He seems to know all her secret fears, doubts and hopes. Unable to stop herself, So-Ri follows him to a place from which there might be no coming back…

In an isolated mansion where time has no meaning, a man discovers an odd statue that continually presents him with items and tasks which he feels he must complete. It is when he digs a little deeper into the mystery of the statue that he really discovers what has happened to his simple life.
