This documentary takes us on a ride through Marginal Tietê, an important avenue in São Paulo, Brazil, then recently opened to the public. The places it crosses and the people living nearby force the viewer to think about the core of this big city.

“Suite Dreams” is a three-episode fiction film set in hotel rooms that hold historical, social, and symbolic layers of Brazil. At Hotel Riazor (Rio de Janeiro), the story unfolds on the night of August 24, 1954, facing the windows of Catete Palace — when entering history can mean leaving life behind. Madeira Palace (São Paulo), a well-known downtown hotel associated with chemsex encounters, receives a character immersed in delirium and confinement, confronted with his own duplication. Sasha, a young photographer living a mundane life, harbors a secret desire that sets him apart. Upon meeting Julia on a dating app, he sees the opportunity for this hidden desire to materialize.

Sasha is a young man in search of a true connection and longs for the past, when things seemed better, especially when he used to play soccer with his friends. Although he has a girlfriend and a desire to be an actor, things are not well resolved, and he seeks to fix it.

The documentary addresses the project, which took 30 years to complete, about the recording of 44 songs created for each poem in Mensagem, one of Fernando Pessoa's most emblematic books.
