I'm a Butterfly

A young, well-off engineer decides to leave his current life and seek what he deems a "manly" adventure.

Czterdziestolatek or 40-latek was a Polish television comedy series broadcast between 1974 and 1977. The first series enjoyed so much popularity that it has successfully continued and led to the release of a feature film I'm a Butterfly, a 40-year-old Love Affair and a New Year's Eve television program in 1975. The series was written by Jerzy Gruza and Krzysztof Teodor Toeplitz and was broadcast on Telewizja Polska. In total, 21 episodes were produced. The series followed the fate of a Warsaw family and explored topics related to midlife crisis, such as extra-marital affairs, attempts to quit smoking, obsession with hair loss, efforts to maintain physical fitness, pride in achievements and professional life, the desire to seek self-fulfillment through social activities, etc.

A bunch of unemployed and unqualified workers are hired to unload a few railway wagons. Because of the low wages, the manager needs to encourage the workers in some other way.

The director, showing from behind the scenes the world of the native financial elite, portrays its ridicule, snobbishness and complexes. The name "the tiger of Europe", which is described by international media as Poland from time to time, is largely due to clever tax fraudsters, smugglers and various "bums". Over the last ten years, they have made not only jealous giant fortunes, but also their own model of culture and customs. A model that mercilessly exposed their intellectual poverty and primitivism. It is from this model that Gruza laughs first of all, proving that if the "tigers of Europe" had been deprived of money, they would have been at most the wretched cats feeding on rubbish cans.

Soon he is engaged in dangerous efforts to fight oppression and indignity, maturing as he assumes responsibility for others’ lives.

Alice was sitting in the park one day. She sees a jogger called Rabbit. When she first meets him she thinks he's a jerk later she finds him nice and relaxing. She falls in love with him. He takes her to Queenie's party. Rabbit later finds out that Queenie wants to kill him. So Rabbit packs up to leave the country. When Alice finds this out she commits suicide which brings her into a fantasy world.

A messenger of King Padella arrives at the castle of King Valoroz XXIV of Paflagonia. He announces the arrival of Prince Bulba, who wants to ask for the hand of Princess Angelica. Lulejko, Valoroz's nephew and rightful ruler, lies in a fever. He is cared for by his maid Rózia, who secretly has a crush on the prince. But he is already engaged to Angelika, so he does not understand Bulba's efforts to win her hand. When Angelika throws away the ring she received from Luleika, it turns out that she owed the gem her beauty. Meanwhile, the ugly Gburia-Furia finds the ring.

A man approaching middle age gets more than he bargained for when he tries having an extramarital affair while his wife is away.

A mysterious man takes a writer back to the 19th century, where they meet Death.

The end of the 70s of the last century. A team of surveyors goes to a small provincial town. Magister ( Jan Nowicki ) and the experts accompanying him plan to build a new road in the vicinity. The geodesists' projects arouse the indignation of one of the local farmers, Biernacki ( Wiesław Gołas ). The envisaged route is to run through the land belonging to it. To save his patrimony, Biernacki is ready to pay a bribe. The dispute between the host and the surveyors is cruelly resolved in front of the party dignitaries participating in the nearby banquet. Jerzy Gruza's painting is a sharp satire of manners, criticizing social relations from the end of the Gierek era.

In Zakopane - though really anywhere in the universe - an alien civilization lands seeking help with an intimate problem and awaits their contact, Yrek. When a nosy innkeeper alerts the press upon learning their mission, journalists descend and inadvertently entangle local Polish and Czech gangsters and their tailing agents in a cosmic game of cat-and-mouse, threatening to turn the quiet mountain retreat into the scene of an interplanetary showdown.

A feature film starring mostly the participants of the first edition of Polish "Big Brother" reality show in 2001.

The story of a pair of people - a much older former actor and a younger taken hero of various commercials and commercials. It is not clear what connects them. At some point, the young man learns that he is going to have a child with a random woman. An impending separation hangs over the men. The old man, unable to move in the world of show business, creates his own ideas, which have no chance - the young man does not accept them. Old age and inability to navigate in today's time, as well as the baggage of homosexuality, from which the protagonist wants to free himself, ends their mutual relationship.
