Living Dangerously

Alice in Wondertown

A biting satire about life in contemporary Cuba. Alicia, a young drama instructor, is sent to the small town of Maravillas de Noveras, which is itself an exaggerated, but very ingenious reflection of the real Cuba. Her adventures there are almost as surreal as the ones experienced by Lewis Carroll's character, reflecting patterns of indoctrination, coercion, absolutism, and many other everyday problems in Cuban society.

Another Woman

It reflects the transformation which a woman undergoes in the crisis of personal fulfillment that her husband is going through. In the middle of a complex process, marked by contradictions and failures, she will grow and express her independence as a human being. She will be another woman, determined to continue the difficult and unknown daily struggle.

Mina, viento de libertad

Xavier Mina accepted the commission to lead a liberating expedition in support of General Morelos. He failed to arrive in Mexico until Morelos had died and the Mexican Congress (which in New Spain faced the absolutism of Fernando VII) was dissolved, but for eight months he directed a series of more or less brilliant military actions, in the face of the harassment of the Viceroy , Who finally got him arrested.

The Antonio Maceo Brigade consists of fifty-five children of Cuban families that escaped the revolution and settled down in Miami. To the annoyance of their parents, the children developed pro-Castro ideas. This documentary follows the Brigade on its first visit to Cuba. When they meet family members and embrace old neighbours, childhood memories surface.
