A Shot in the Back

Fulgencio Martinez wants a car to give a good image to the president of the company where he works and thus get a promotion. Carmina, his wife, suffers from a fatal illness and the only way to flatter her life is with an operation. Martinez tries to kill her so as not to spend the money from his savings on the clinic and buy the car. In the end, after a dream that makes him feel the loss of his wife, he abandons his plans.

Trino, Nerio, and Alfonso are poor chamber musicians trying to survive by playing wherever they can. During a general's funeral, the musicians try to play funeral music, but the screams of one of them, who thinks he's seen the deceased's hand move, cause such a commotion that the participants run away in terror.

Humberto and Atilio, two elderly men confined in a nursing home, decide to flee when they see the arrival of some ballot boxes through the window, which makes them assume that their lives are in danger. The escape causes the mobilization of an entire military strategic team while the two elderly men and Daniel, an employee of the nursing home, wander around the roads of the area. In the end, they are unexpectedly armed and confront the “enemy”.

Two delinquents, with a beautiful waitress in a luxurious hotel are harassed and hunted by a powerful organization. The criminals will use all their skills to escape both the police and the hunters.

A scientist is confined due to a terminal, contagious illness. He muses with his alter ego about existence.
