De Serge Gainsbourg à Gainsbarre 1958-1991

This document proposes an immersion in the French society of the 60s and 70s and in the youth of the time with the testimonies and confidences of Sheila, Salvatore Adamo, Antoine, Hervé Vilard, Michel Fugain, Nicoletta, Michel Jonasz, Laurent Voulzy and the photographer Tony Frank. They tell with hindsight and humor, their beginnings in the 60s and 70s, and before becoming idols. It is also an opportunity to leaf through the pages of the successful magazines of the time "Salut les copains" and "Mademoiselle Age tendre". Created by Daniel Filipacchi, they highlighted the idols of the moment, music, fashion, sexuality, consumer objects and questions about society.

The portrait of a woman who remembers. Sheila tells the story of Sheila, without concessions or evasions. Her childhood, her parents, her beginnings, the rumors, her love affairs, her marriage, her son, her successes, her farewells, her return, her mourning. The journey of an extraordinary popular icon who never stopped fighting. The courage of an artist who never gives up. "Sheila, toutes ces vies-là" is also a journey through time. 60 years of pop music, punctuated by numerous archives, personal films, timeless hits and illustrations by Marc-Antoine Coulon. But also 60 years of fashion, through a legendary wardrobe (her TV show outfits) that Sheila invites us to rediscover.

By the end of the seventies, disco music, considered too mainstream, was dead. But DJs and dance floors still needed new records and faster rhythms. Built on synthesizer sounds, the hi-nrg (high energy) style swept the gay clubs before hitting the charts during the eighties.
