Wei, a young lesbian, goes to Thailand on a graduation trip. After witnessing an intimate interaction between the girl she fancies and a male friend, she goes to a Thai massage parlour, but the experience isn't as beautiful as she envisioned.

When Birdy was young, he was like a fledgling still learning how to fly. He needed care and nurturing from his family to grow strong, yet he didn’t want to grow into the person his family expected him to be. SECOND ROUND is a coming-of-age documentary that intertwines Birdy’s gender transition with his inner emotional transformation—pulling back, pushing back, confusion, courage, fear, anxiety, and taking one last all-in gamble. We walk alongside Birdy through countless thoughts and struggles, witnessing a life crack open, grow, and ultimately find its way back to itself.

Their unfamiliarity with Gaga, the ancestral ethical system, reveals deeper cultural dissonance and generational gaps shaped by decades of assimilation policies and influences. Set against a postcolonial backdrop, SPI traces how one family, caught between modernity and indigenous memory, strives to carry forward the Tayal spirit left behind by their elders.

Cheung Chau, once a fishing village in Hong Kong, has transformed into a tourist spot. Ri-Tai, a food stall run by A-Cheung, reflects local life, absurdities, and societal realities. A-Cheung spends his days playing games with customers like Plumpy, forming bonds that transcend generations. However, the onset of COVID-19 disrupts this sense of community, leaving the island deserted and questioning whether Ri-Tai's simple way of life will vanish.

The lives of a generation were changed by a pile of charges and imprisonment. If the young people had known what shape the suffering would take, would they have still tried so bravely to change the world? Hong Kong's social activism resulted in the police arresting 10,279 people. Among these, 2,899 have already gone through or are going through the legal process. Around 80% have been found guilty and sentenced to prison. The documentary A Thousand Winds converts the numbers back into people to show how they are responding to the trial in their youth.
