'68 Comeback Special: 50th Anniversary Edition is the definitive chronicle of the now legendary NBC-TV show Elvis. After years of making formulaic movies, Elvis was finally unleashed to perform live again on an intimate stage with his original sidemen, Scotty Moore and D.J. Fontana. Playing "That's All Right," "Heartbreak Hotel," "Lawdy Miss Clawdy," and many of his great hits, the sheer rawness and excitement of the performances attracted unanimous critical acclaim. This 50th Anniversary Edition includes all the known recordings from RCA's vault and all the videotaped performances are here for the first time on Blu-ray.

By 1968, it had been more than seven years since he had appeared on stage on front of a live audience. In his first television special, clad in his now-iconic black leather suit, Elvis performed classic hits both on stage alone and, in sequences generally regarded as the forerunner of today's popular "unplugged" jam sessions, with friends and original bandmates. The program also included splashy production numbers. The original name of the program was "Elvis". Taped in June 1968 in Burbank, it first aired that December 3rd on NBC and was the network's biggest ratings victory that year as well as the season's top-rated show. It stands today as one of the great moments in rock music history and as a stunningly brilliant milestone in Elvis career. After this triumph Elvis poured renewed creative vigor into his recording work, wrapped up his movie contract obligations and returned full-time to the concert stage, beginning a new and exciting era of the Elvis phenomenon.

After years of diminishing returns on the big screen, Elvis gets back to his roots on television, and turns in one of the greatest performances of his career.

These top recording idols – representing the musical moods of London, Liverpool, Hollywood and Detroit – packed the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium with 2,600 screaming fans and virtually brought down the house. This is the cinematic record of that electrifying event.

On July 21, 1983, the legendary Diana Ross took the stage in New York's Central Park before an audience of over 800,000. Soon after the entertainer began, pouring rain and heavy wind threatened to put an end to the show, but Diana pushed on for much of the set, urging the drenched crowd to remain calm and stay with her. Eventually the torrential storm put an end to the performance, but not before Diana promised her fans she would return the next day. True to her word, Diana performed the entire concert again on July 22nd for the people of New York.

In this adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, Stanley the duck timidly leaves the only home he's ever known -- the egg he hatched from -- to learn more about himself and search for his family. Along the way, he meets Nathan, a happy-go-lucky fox who teaches Stanley not to worry about his exterior, noting that one shouldn't pass judgment on others based on looks alone. Features the voices of Wolfman Jack, Rick Dees and Susan Blu.

Broadcast approximately one year after the death of Sam Kinison, this special includes tributes from those he admired and those who admired him. Includes clips from "Married with Children," "Back to School," and 2 of his HBO appearances.
