July 2006, the city of Aix-en-Provence is under particular strain. The trial of Mathias Rousseau, the man who called himself the "Zodiac," is about to begin. Called back to France to testify, Esther Delaître moves in with Quentin, the child she adopted, at her brother Jérôme's house on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. But the disappearance of little Lucie Daguerre throws everything into question. The family of the missing child runs the Daguerre Institute, a renowned school where Mathias had stayed for a few months when he was younger. Is the "Zodiac" pulling the strings from his prison cell? Is he the victim of an imitator? This new case takes Esther back two years...

The first vacations in the mountains and his first star seem to have come straight out of our memories so much we find ourselves in them. The first communion and the long sermons of the priest are also crying of truth. And who didn't feel the same feeling of freedom with his first moped. Not to mention the Tuperware meetings. All these memories are evoked with an accent of the south so singing that we like to dive into this universe.

Albert Spaggiari is arrested in Nice and brought to a judge's office for interrogation, but he escapes to South America where he meets a journalist who is investigating the event.

As a parody of Hollywood cop films, the story is set somewhere in the American Midwest as fabricated by the French. After losing his regular partner, FBI agent Richard Bullit (Merad) gets assigned to the book-learned cop Riper (Barroux) to investigate the death of a stripper. American movie stereotypes abound, such as shock jock Phil Canon (Gérard Darmon) and sheriff Steve Marley (Jean-Paul Rouve).
