Tamiko (Ayumi Ito) lives happily with her husband Hideaki (Sho Aoyagi) and step-daughter Kotoyo (Hazuki Inoue). Tamiko married her deceased friend Mari's (Mami Nakamura) husband. Tamiko gets along well with her step-daughter Kotoyo, but Kotoyo still doesn't call her mother. There is a traditional sumo game held to celebrate the moving of Mizuwakasu's shrine. The traditional sumo game is important to Tamiko who grew up on the island, while her husband Hideaki's reputation is not so good on the island because he broke off his engagement to a woman his parents set him up with. In order to marry his first wife Mari, he ran away from the island. Since then, his parents disowned him. Nevertheless, Hideaki and his first wife Mari still liked the island and went back to live there. Hideaki began sum wrestling then.

A heartwarming tale about the turning point in the life of an elite business man in his fifties and a local train that has been running since 1911. Then Manabu learns his alma mater elementary school will be closed down.

This film is the second installment in a Shimane trilogy by director Yoshinari Nishikori, following White Ship. Tetsuro, a third-year high school student living in Unnan City, delivers milk produced at his father’s factory to his hospitalized mother every morning. As he approaches graduation, he finds himself troubled by his future path and his feelings for his classmate Takako. His friends Yuji and Kumiko try to help his romance succeed, but things don’t go as planned… Set in Unnan, a region dotted with sites tied to ancient mythology, the film portrays the everyday lives of the people who live there in a gentle human drama.

Twelve years ago Ikeda Toru was a skilled fisherman until he crossed paths with a storm while out fishing. He lost all of his memories from that time and now lives his days troubled, never going fishing. Unable to bear seeing Toru in such a state, his mother Nobuko puts into motion a plan intended to revive Toru's memories.
