A newly-wed woman is met with abuse in her new house

Gautam, a rich young man, goes to Assam to visit his father's tea plantation. The plane in which he's travelling is forced to make an emergency landing due to bad weather. Gautam gets hurt and suffers from amnesia. He falls in love with a young woman Kanchan, who responds to him even though she is part of a religious community that doesn't allow its members to marry.

Melodrama about an extended family in Bengal. Baikunth Majumdar, who has a son by previous marriage, remarries. His new wife Bhawani raises her stepson Gokul along with her son Vinod.

Ronaklal is unable to show his face to Ramdas, and avoids him, and Bansi has grown up without knowing who his real father is. Will Ronaklal be able to tell Ramdas the truth when he returns, or will be just let Deepak be the sole heir to all the estate and the property?

Zamindari Ma, the old landlady of a village supports its people during a famine and raises three orphaned children of differing religions. The children, although encouraged to practice their separate religions, are taught to remain united at all times.

This transparent piece of religious propaganda saw Guru Dutt’s acting debut in the minor role of Lachman, Lakha’s brother.
