A TV crew is to make a film about a happy family. The choice falls on the family of Adam Hyńczak, a well-to-do banker with a reputation for decency. However, in the course of filming, it comes to light that under the appearance of family idyll there are serious problems and pathologies. Both Adam and his wife, Magda, are completely preoccupied with their own affairs. They do not notice at all that something bad is happening with their adolescent son. Some time ago, having found himself at a bend in life, he turned to drugs.

For years, Russia has been trying to rebuild its empire. The hybrid war doctrine introduced by Putin in 2013 assumes attacking Western countries without declaring war. Father Radon, a Catholic priest and scientist attempts to research the subject. Is exorcism really helping the needy? Or is it a superstition that prevents people with mental disorder from taking advantage of psychiatric treatment?

Adam Horn, a young Polish scientist, is conducting research to discover a substance that makes personality swapping possible. Appearing before a committee granting funds for further research, he presents a somewhat "stilted" achievement, demonstrating on his experimental pet the personality swap of a dog with a goat Matilda. The fame of his research reaches the former KGB, which sends him an agent committed to intercepting the research results.

Searching for his family roots, aged German pensioner Hugo Schmidt arrives with his grandson in a village in the Mazury region. The house where he was born is now inhabited by a poor Polish family, resettlers from across the Bug River, not very concerned with keeping the farmhouse in order.

Live without food? Draw energy from the environment—like plants? Is this realistic? The film follows a group of people who claim that it is possible to nourish oneself with light. Marek, a Polish bioenergy therapist living in Greece, did not eat for 63 days and lost more than half his body weight, which almost cost him his life. Krzysztof has just returned to Poland after a long stay in India, where he studied yoga. So far, he has fasted for a month, but he plans to finally cleanse his body and live without traditional food. Kazimierz claims that he has already done so and has been drawing energy directly from the sun for five years. Joanna has only gone without food for two weeks so far, but she believes that switching to not eating is the path to happiness for her. The protagonists, talking about their experiences, have the courage to contradict modern science.

In recent years deepening political ideological conflict is tearing Poland apart. This film presents the dramatic developments through the eyes of two women on opposite sides of the political barricade. Marta and Tita are patriots, but their patriotism doesn’t unite them. Both are proud of their country and its history, and they want only the best for it. But their attitudes could not be more different. Marta leads a paramilitary unit, promotes Christian values, supports the ruling Conservative party and is ready to leave the EU. Tita, the liberal atheist activist, hates weapons, fights for democracy and feels content living in the EU. Is it possible to solve the growing crack in Polish society?

The movie observes a group of western left-wingers during their visit to Poland. The aim is to confront their common expectations regarding communism and the transformation of the former socialist countries with the reality. ‘Crazy Guides’ agency provides lots of attractions for heroes by stowing them into trabis and taking to Nowa Huta –The Perfect City according to Socio-Realism rules. The group not only admires the newest historical monuments but is also having a chance to feel how the villagers lived. Therefore, the heroes would milk a cow, plough up a field and tresh cereal filling their stomachs with potatoes during spare time. A visit to the metallurgical factory followed by an illustrating lecture and discussion with Nowa Huta’s true dwellers bring change to heroes’ attitude. The tourists notice that the perfect world had also it’s darker sides and that the central system of planned economy wasn’t such a brilliant idea at all.
