The Twelve Labours

Documentary about the discovery of a ditch in a cemetery located in São Paulo, in which were found the carcass of Brazilian political prisoners who fought against the military dictatorship.

When straight-laced Jefferson finds out his drug-dealing brother is dead, he returns to São Paulo with his childhood friend to identify the body. The journey raises memories of their shared childhood and poses a choice for their future.

Roberto and Mitsuo return to Brazil on the same day, after a long season living abroad. Their lives intersect because of land negotiated by their parents in the past. Without money, the two see on the ground a possibility of getting financially right. However, some events make them believe the terrain is magical. Like a fable, the film shows us that in order to obtain some desires, it is necessary to give up others.
