Historical movie set during the Japanese occupation of China during WWII. Jackie Chan is one of the good guys but has nothing much more than a supporting role.

A spoilt rich kid turns up at a fu school to show off, but he gets clobbered by the boastful Little Tiger, who is later framed for the kid's murder when a gang of blackmailers make an example of him. The police allow Tiger to escape, in order to find the real culprits. Tiger hides at his girlfriend's place, but a model she works with does some whoring on the side for the blackmailer, and so the crooks are onto his trail...

In 1950s, Chinese Civil War ends with the defeat of Republic of China and the establishment of Communist China. The 93rd Division's soldiers take their families with them, exit southwestern China and enter northern Burma (Myanmar). The hike through forest is full of disasters and short of supplies, but the survivors reach and settle within border of Burma. They build a village, and ally with local armed gang to resist Burmese government's attacks. Later, the relocated government of Republic of China offers to take the soldiers and dependents to Taiwan, but some are disappointed with the government and decide to stay.

Three young boys learn the art of kung fu from their grandfather, a martial arts expert, and are able to hold their own on a trip to the city.

Fan Long (played by Liang Chaowei), the staff officer of the National Army, escaped from the captive camp and returned to the National Army camp through all the difficulties. The soldier Ading (played by Lin Zhiying) also returned to the army, and the veteran Lao Xie (played by Wu Mengda) gave him the care of the Ading brother who lost his comrades-in-arms. Commander He of the National Army (played by Ke Junxiong) negotiated with the Myanmar side and tried to put down his weapons and return to it. Fan Long planned to save some of the weapons, but the Myanmar side killed the National Army. It all relied on Fan Long, and the National Army was able to break through. However, the team soon differentiated. Fan Long and others defected to the bandits, and Commander He led the rest to submit to the Thai government. The soldiers of the National Army who were exiled to the Golden Triangle launched an outstanding struggle for survival

They escape to Taipei and work as hostess and accountant, earning a living from American soldiers on leave from Vietnam. The girls reunite with Michael, an American flight instructor, at the club. Michael ardently pursues Li Lin, but struggling to forget He Kang, Li Lin rejects Michael' s proposal. Having taken different paths, the two girls eventually return to their childhood village, reminiscing about the bonds of the past.

However, he is too shy to reveal his feeling to her when he discovers that she has fallen for the cool kid in class, Nicky Wu. Meanwhile, another student Dicky Cheung has gotten himself into trouble with the triads after failing to pay a debt owed to them. With so much going on, how will Sharla Cheung find a way to solve the troubles of her students and get them to study hard to pass their exams?

10+10 is a project initiated by the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival to demonstrate the solidarity between Taiwanese film-makers. 20 directors are invited to make a 5-minute short film each on the theme of the “Uniqueness of Taiwan,” but allowed total freedom in all other aspects.
