In the south of France, the leader of a gypsy community and her two sons fight to save their clan, threatened with eviction by rising waters. To survive, they must cross the lines of legality and fight in a dark and dangerous world... all while hiding the unspeakable secret that has haunted their family for seven years.

18 year old Jason Dorkel belongs to a community of gypsies. He is about to celebrate his baptism when his half-brother Fred returns after fifteen years in prison. Together, with their last brother, the violent, hot-headed Michael and their Christian activist cousin, the four young people set off on a binge among the "gadjos" in search of a cargo of copper.

Among the Yéniches, a community of Gypsies, respect the of elders and religious fervor indifferently rub shoulders with vandalism. Fred Dorkel is a member of the community: feared and admired by his own, he lives by stealing cars. One night, his life is turned on its head when an angel appears before him. For Fred, it's the sign of a second chance and he must grab hold of it. He decides to settle down. But this choice sets him against his family.

Holed up in Tijuana on a path to self-destruction, an Iraq veteran seeks deliverance by helping a young Mexican woman navigate the underworld in a quest for her long-lost brother.

A man returns to Tijuana in the hope of finding a woman who has lost herself in drugs and darkness and has apparently become a "white lady", a ghostly creature half way between heaven and earth.

Fred, a gypsy traveler, earns his living by “chouravant” (stealing) cars. One day, a being comes to his land and speaks to him about light. After this meeting, Fred will no longer be the same, because an angel – his angel – has leaned over him.

A young couple of deported Mexicans gets by in Tijuana between resourcefulness and petty theft. The little they earn goes into drugs and slot machines. She was raised in Los Angeles and he spent his life in gangs, which left him with a bullet wound in the head that sometimes affects his memory. But all the wounds, the drugs and the gambling cannot help them forget that at one time they were a real family with a child they loved tenderly, until the day the Tijuana authorities took her away. Time goes by and Wera’s love for Topo becomes nothing but a bitter memory that accompanies her in her descent to hell.
