Number One is a heart-warming musical family comedy that follows the story of Chow Chee Beng, a middle-aged white collar manager retrenched by his company. After many failed interviews, Chee Beng unwillingly takes a job as a manager at ‘Number One’, a popular drag club. Soon, Chee Beng is roped into dressing up to join the drag queens on stage. And to everyone’s surprise, Chee Beng is a natural drag queen and his performance wows the audiences!

Co-workers Chaoyang and Zi Hong have been dating for more than a year, with marriage on the cards. When a client requests for a livestream of their reunion dinner to promote his products, the couple realises that neither have met the other’s family. Zi Hong is excited to finally get to meet Chaoyang’s mother, unaware of the latter’s estranged relationship with his mother. Embarrassed by his mother Yan Ling’s occupation as a mama-san, Chaoyang decides to engage the help of a friend, Wei, to “rent-a-family”, resulting in a series of mishaps and hilarity. The carefully constructed sham falls to pieces when the lie is eventually exposed over the reunion dinner on livestream. Will Chaoyang be able to repair the broken relationship with his mother and reconcile his differences with Zi Hong?

The story arises from the aftermath of a catastrophic car crash that has temporarily blinded the billionaire Kaden. Isla has been smitten with Kaden since his masterclass on slow dancing at her sixteenth birthday event. In the present, Isla attends to the ailing Kaden with a dose of deception.

Directed by the Singaporean composer Dick Lee himself, this biopic of his youth, covers three years of his life, from his early years as a teenage singer-songwriter up to the release of his debut album in 1947.

A young composer, Kenny Kew, is tasked to bring his niece to her father, Lee, when his sister passed away. With Lee away with his roving rock band, Kenny sets off on a reluctant road trip with his niece in search of her elusive father. Kenny, who initially wanted to sever all ties with his family, eventually realises the importance of family on this journey of self-discovery.
