"On The Fringes of Sao Paulo: Scavengers" is a documentary that portrays the life of paper and recycled material collectors in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This documentary is the third piece of a combination of four films that started with the projects "On The Fringes of Sao Paulo: Homeless" and "Squatting on the Fringes of Sao Paulo".

As the world boiled in the rush of Easy Rider bikes, in the frenetic pace of Elvis Presley, in Beatniks poets, in the explosion of counterculture, a boy from Bahia gave birth to Rock in Brazil. A runaway flying saucer that abducted the hearts and minds of thousands of fans, Raul Seixas, a man who became a myth. Raul died young because he lived intensely. Rock n 'roll, free love, alternative society, drugs, black magic, military dictatorship, women and daughters. A man who wanted to live from his work and died for it. The beginning, the end and the middle are confused, because the story is not over. The film reveals through rare images of archive, meeting with relatives, conversations with artists, producers and friends, the trajectory of the legend of Rock.

In March 2006, the team for the Navegar Amazônia project left the Jandiá Channel in Macapá, bound for Belém. On board a regional boat, adapted with a modern multimedia laboratory, were the project team and thirty persons, including musicians and filmmakers. The objective was, along the way, to offer workshops in music, cinema, photography, video and art to the population visited on the river's edge. The documentary is a record of the interaction between the guests and the local population. The Navegar Amazônia project captures and conveys contents of the Amazon in a unique way: from the heart of the forest and from the river to the world.

Built as a flow of thought inspired by the concept of interior monologue by filmmaker Sergei Eisenstein, the documentary rescues the fragmented memory of a man who lived his childhood and adolescence during the military dictatorship, when it was common to beat his children at home and also in schools.

The documentary focuses on the memories of actor Sergio Mamberti, thus revealing a panorama of more than 60 years of Brazilian culture through the trajectory of this great actor, who also worked as a director and actively participated in our country's politics.

Vera Holtz is an actress who, through cinema, decided to rescue the memory of her family with her sisters Teresa, Rosa and Regina. Facing memory lapses, the actress tries to reinvent her own life in film.
