Ayyappan Pillai (Karamana Janardanan Nair) & Thankappan Pillai (Thilakan), friends, neighbors & business partners, plans to have Thankappan's son Raju (Rahman) marry Ayyappan's daughter Radha (Ahalya). However, their kids, both of whom who were in love with someone else, blocks the marriage by causing misunderstandings between their families. But when Raju's & Radha's romances fail & they fall in love with each other, now they have to reunite their warring families, for them to unite themselves.

They meet the irascible Dr. Anirudhan (Sreenivasan), a widower with a baby girl.

Appunni

Appunni and Ammukutty are lovers from childhood. Ammukutty's father Ayyappan Nair arranges her marriage with a rich school teacher, Menon Mash. Ammukutty is happy to break her relationship with Appunni and get married to the rich Menon Mash.

Kudumbapuranam

The film revolves around a middle class Malayalee family. Problems arise when the eldest son alienates his father and gets thrown out of home. The film portrays the other members struggling between the two.

After his retirement, Raghavan Nair (Thilakan) is back at his home. His long cherished dream to spend his retired life along with his family is thwarted after seeing his two sons brawling each other over their political differences.

Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam

The only way Gopalakrishnan can escape from certain bankruptcy is to sell the property he owns in the city and use the proceeds to settle his debts. To do that, he has to evict his tenants from there first. Unfortunate for him, his tenant is the feisty Meera and her family, who absolutely refuses to vacate the house. Gopalakrishnan uses an obscure clause in the contract to take up residence at the house, and tries his best to smoke his tenants out.

The story follows Jayakanthan, son of Narendran, who comes from Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu to his parent's village Paruthippara in Kannur district, Kerala to reclaim his father's property.
