She is the artist who has been adored by audiences for decades and who fascinated Ingmar Bergman so deeply that he watched her wedding on repeat. She is also the person who, having been directed by others since the age of 16, has now—at 60—taken control of her own life. She is Carola, and she never ceases to fascinate.
