In 1929 Berlin, the progressive editor-in-chief Bornstein is on trial for libel. An article in his magazine attempted to uncover the role that Reichsanwalt Jörns had played ten years earlier in the "clarification" of the murders of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht. The article explained that the then court martial judge knowingly covered up for the murderers and delayed the trial. At the trial, the testimony of witnesses succeeded in proving the truth of the publication and exposing those behind the murders as those who were preparing fascism.

Zur See

This series is about the "adventures" and problems of the crew of the East German cargo ship "MS-Fichte" at sea. In the first part, the main engine had a piston jam during a storm at sea, so that the piston had to be removed. It was concealed that the deceased, as a contact person for a Swiss arms company, represented a West German arms contract worth 2.5 billion marks. The Military Counterintelligence Service tried everything to conceal the explosive events...

Alchimisten

Against the resistance of the management, which tries to talk away all the difficulties, but with the support of the workforce, a party secretary sets about solving the problem.

Radiokiller

Enemy secret services from the West had used modern technology for the "cold war", i.e. the confrontation with the Eastern Bloc, and developed a device called COMMINT 3-72. Its nickname was "Radiokiller". This weapon was not much bigger than a soccer and could be easily camouflaged on the territory of the GDR, for example as a fieldstone, the remains of a wall or a lump of earth. These enemy objects were inconspicuous on the outside, but packed with complicated inner workings, i.e. highly sophisticated microelectronics.

So water sportswoman Ruth, deputy chairwoman of the BSG, decides to use female cunning to change the situation for the better. She and her friends Lilo and Uschi want to "work" the unruly ones. In the end, there is indeed a victory - on the sports field - and two happy couples.

Bonner Pitaval - Die Affäre Heyde-Sawade

After participating in more than 100,000 euthanasia crimes during the Nazi era, the former SS psychiatrist and physician Dr. Werner Heyde leads an unmolested life in West Germany after the war under a false name ("Fritz Sawade"). With the help of confidants, he manages to get a job as a medical expert. His true identity remains in the dark for many years. His wife has him declared dead and draws the pension of a psychology professor's widow. After remaining unidentified for ten years, Dr. Heyde is unmasked and arrested one day and found dead in his cell shortly before the start of the trial. The film plot is based on the authentic case of Dr. Werner Heyde.

Die Mutter und das Schweigen

When the illegal party cell in a large Berlin factory is arrested, Klara distributes the latest issue of the Red Signal on her own. She wants to prove to the Gestapo that she has imprisoned the wrong people. Authentic story of a communist and mother who flees her German homeland for neighboring Czechoslovakia in 1936.

The Just People of Kummerow

In a remote Prussian village, the shepherd Krischan with his fantastic stories is the attraction point for the children. One day they experience together how the Müller Düker beats his horse to death and intervene. Düker sues her for body injury at the district court, and because the main accused, Krischan, lives illegally in the village without papers, the village community decides to deport him before the trial. Krischan disappears. The children feel the loss painfully, are outraged by the adults. The boys Martin and John search for Krischan on an adventurous ride and are put by the police. Krischan remains gone.

The first episode was broadcast 27 June 1971 in the German Democratic Republic, and after the dissolution of Fernsehen der DDR the series was picked up by ARD.
