Just a Life – The Story of Fridtjof Nansen

The Russian Kostya and the Bulgarian Petko work at two different sites of a gas pipeline spanning the whole length of the Soviet Union. Just of a few kilometers and there will be ribbon cutting, awards and bonuses. However, it is a fertile Russian land. The two brigadier friends go around all instances, they ask and plea. For "rebelling activities", the brigadiers are criticized. A new inquiry is submitted to Moscow. The reply is slow. Then the workers decide to change the terrain on their responsibility. The last welding is complete. The managers come, so does decision for a change in the design.

When the war, going somewhere far away, becomes ordinary, you begin to notice it only when it comes to the house, killing and mutilating the young and the best. The hero of the film, who has returned from the Chechen war as a cripple, rejects his former lover, who fiercely seeks his disposition, and it is not clear what motivates her - a sense of duty to the defenseless or a sincere love that suddenly flared up.

A simple story of the life and love of a woman who lost her lover at the front. After a failed marriage and many years of loneliness, she finally finds happiness by meeting a man who is not only ready to become her companion, but also a friend to her adult son.

The film tells about two elderly widows who live in the same house. They are united not only by tragedy, but also by common concern, namely the grave of two unknown soldiers, which they have been guarding for over 30 years. And suddenly the managers of their district decide to turn the grave into a memorial.

A small construction team led by Potapov suddenly refuses to receive a bonus payment from their company for exceeding performance targets. The team accuses its construction company HQ with artificially reducing the targets, so they can be easily exceeded. It makes the management looks good, yet leads to frequent downtime reducing earnings for common construction workers even with fake bonuses. On a hastily organized meeting the management tries to subdue the "unruly" gang leader charging that he cannot know all details. It turned out that Potapov and his team prepared a detailed business analysis, which proved their point. Managers, who had different interests and positions, have to decide how to deal with the real problem leading to unexpected results.

Two people: Igor, an ex-athlete living aimlessly and chasing rubles to get drunk and Vera, a dowdy librarian, try to find their luck by planning to fall in love with each other based on "psychological conditioning".
