The End of a Vacation

This 7 episode documentary is about the collapse of the USSR and the part Ukrainians took in it. The series brings the Ukrainian perspective into the global narrative for the first time, along with recently unclassified details from the CIA and KGB archives.

A documentary film about the outstanding Ukrainian poet and philosopher Hryhorii Skovoroda. The film contains restoration staged episodes and interviews with experts. The film has four story-lines: the first is a journey of two Mohilian students Marichka and Bohdan to places associated with the philosopher; the second consisted of a series of conversations with leading Ukrainian intellectuals, researchers of the thinker's heritage, musicians, artists, artists; the third is Ukrainian nature, picturesque landscapes that were of great importance for the philosopher; the fourth was war. The tricentenary of Skovoroda fell at the time of full-scale Russian aggression.

1932. Western Ukraine. The fighters of an underground Ukrainian organization conduct a revolutionary action against the government. Contrary to their plans, it turns into a bloody slaughter. Now the choice of young patriots is small: death or immortality.

Dramatic history of Ukrainian auteur cinema of the 1960s-90s, in particular about the creative destiny of directors: Serhiy Paradzhanov, Ivan Mykolaychuk, Leonid Osyka, Mykola Mashchenko, Roman Balayan, Viktor Kryshtofovych and others.The film uses excerpts from 35 cult films, which symbolize the flourishing of Ukrainian film production.
